Jeane L. Grable, age 73, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, with her family surrounding her. Jeane was born in Oshkosh on October 23, 1931 to William and Ann Ceelen. Jeane married Raymond Grable at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on July 30, 1949.
Jeane enjoyed spending many hours gardening and browsing the many antique malls and show in the area. She will be lovingly remembered by her wonderful caregiver husband: Raymond; six children: Vicki (Keith) Schmirler; Joby (Patrick) Gray, Tim (Laurie) Grable; David (Robin) Grable; Tony (Jan) Grable; and Jeannie Grable; ten grandchildren: Chris (Kurt) Kamphuis; John, Jessica, and Rebecca Gray; Kurt and Katherine Grable; Danielle, Stuart, Daryl, and Stevie Grable; and Hannah Grable; and one great-grandchild: Cole Kamphuis. Jeane will also be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Hank (Audrey) Ceelen; Diana Schmidt; Bea Getchel; Grace (Carl) Sawyer; Bill (Joyce) Ceelen; Rosemary (Jim) Scheuermann; Pat (Lynn) Kraus; Tony (Patti) Ceelen; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. in Saint John Catholic Church, 440 West South Park Avenue, with Reverends William Van DeKreeke and Justin Werner co-officiating. Neighbors and friends may greet the family for a time of visitation and support on Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the church. Family members are establishing a memorial in Jeane's memory.
