The Angels came and took Jerilyn Paulsen home on Monday, August 25, 2008. She was born in Oshkosh on December 21, 1956 to Jerry and Lois (Koch) Witzke. On June 7, 2003 she married James "Slim" Paulsen.
Jerilyn was vibrant, fun loving, active all of her life, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She worked as a calligrapher for Miles Kimball for many years. She attended the Constance School of Cosmetology and was a stylist for many clients, family and friends. Jerilyn enjoyed being outdoors, camping and at the cottage. She loved and will be missed by her dogs: Susie, Abby, and Lily. Every night you would find Jerilyn and Slim watching a movie.
Jerilyn is survived by her soul mate, loving husband, James; children: Benjamin, Jessica, Joshua, and Eric (Brittany) Hardel, and Brandon Dallman; granddaughter, Autumn Hardel; parents, Jerry and Lois Witzke; siblings: Wendy (Terry) Conger, Connie (Keith) Rushford, Tammy (Darrell) Redmann, and Timothy Witzke. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Caroline Auler; step-daughters: Stacey Binder and Rachael Paulsen; siblings-in-law: Thomas (Bev) Paulsen, Christine (friend Frank) Paulsen, Debra Paulsen, and John (Debbie) Paulsen; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Her brother, Randy Witzke, preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 29, 2008, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, Sacred Heart Site, 519 Knapp Street, Father Augustine Serafini officiating. A time visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Pastor Gregg Schoeneck will lead a prayer service at 8:00 P.M. There will also be time for visiting at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
