"Jerry" Geraldine J. Schultz, age 79 died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 29, 2006 surrounded by her grandchildren. She was born in the Town of Nekimi on January 18, 1927 to Earl and Sadie (Zentner) German. She married Raymond O. Schultz on July 29th 1944, and they celebrated 50 years together until his death in 1994.
Jerry was known for her easy laughter and love of life. She loved her volunteer work with the Salvation Army and helping with all the functions and events at Bethany United Church of Christ. She was a gifted seamstress, enjoyed baking, (her molasses cookies were a family favorite), and her crafts such as cross stitch and gardening. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jerry was an inspiration to her entire family and her friends. Even though she suffered so many losses of family members she always had a way of seeing through dark clouds to the silver lining. Her love, smile and laughter was the light of her family. She will be truly missed.
Jerry is survived by granddaughter: Tracy (John) Maskewit; grandsons: Ryan (Sonia) Schultz and Brad (Mary) Schultz; great-grandchildren: Levi, Logan, Hailey, Tanner, and Jordan; sister-in-law: Germaine Gilmore; brothers-in-law: Bob (friend Delores) Schultz, Dave (Joan) Schultz, Dick (Marlene) Schultz, and Dick (Mariananne) Jole; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ray; sons: Rusty and Ronald; parents: Earl and Sadie; brother: Bud; sisters: Audrey and Delores; daughter-in-law: Susan Schultz; and in-laws: Oscar and Flora Schultz, Shirley Schultz, and Eleanor German.
Jerry wanted to extend a special thank you to Coni Soberlin and the Zarling family for all their help and care. Also thank you to Dave and Bev of Curve Crest Kennels for tying in the original name of her brother, Bud's Dairy which formerly occupied the property.
