Obituary

Jessica J. (Fraser) Radig, 58, of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 with her family by her side, after a brief and courageous battle with illness.

She was born to Jess and Linda (Klemmer) Fraser on May 1, 1966 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She attended Oshkosh North High, graduating in 1985.

Jessi had a love of the outdoors. She enjoyed camping and spending time at the family cabin, where a campfire was a must. At home, she loved her big yard, tending to her flowers, and hosting summer cookouts. She spent a significant amount of time with her 10 grandchildren and crocheted a blanket for each of them. Jessi loved the holidays. She took pride in preparing the large family meals and would spend six hours precisely decorating the Christmas tree.

Jessi's passion was taking care of others. In her early years, she provided foster care and in-home daycare and then worked in a nursing home as a CNA. She would continue this passion as a paraprofessional throughout the Oshkosh School District with most recently being at Oshkosh North High School working with students with disabilities. It was here that Jessi truly found her calling. A valued member of the team, Jessi was loved by students and co-workers and she cherished her time with them. Throughout her life. Jessi was also a caregiver for friends and family in times of need.

Jessi is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Jeffrey Radig; her children, Gregory (Charisma) Hansen of Neenah, Colton (Ashley) Hansen of Oshkosh, McKenzie Hansen of Oshkosh and Matt (Katie) Radig of Menasha; most adored grandchildren, Robbie, Hailie, Brantley, Maycen, Eloise, Paxton, Oaklyn, Delaney, Leroy and Landon; brothers, Jess (Nannette) Fraser of Oshkosh, Jim Fraser of Punta Gorda, FL, Clifton (Beth) Fraser of Hastings, FL, Walter Jr. (Heidi) Goode of Oshkosh; sisters, Alicia (Bradley) Stratton of Hastings, FL, Monica (John) Butt of Reading, England, Faith Fraser, Jamie O'Brien of Oshkosh and Jacki Maxwell of Oshkosh. She is further survived by her stepmother, Lynne Fraser of Hastings, FL; a special Aunt Peggy and Uncle Jack O'Brien of Oshkosh; lifelong friend, Dawn Swartz of Milwaukee; along with many more friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother; mother-in-law, Sandy Radig; nephew, Jesse James Stratton; niece, Rebecca Fraser; lifelong friend, Andrea Hando; and honorary nephew, Carey Swartz.
