Obituary
JoAnn M. Beck, 80, passed away on July 14, 2024. She was born on October 13, 1943, in Oshkosh, WI to Carl and Gertrude (Muenster) Genal.
JoAnn married Ronald Beck on February 8, 1964, and they were married for 52 years before he preceded her in 2016. She enjoyed playing slots and listening to 50's and 60's music, especially Elvis. JoAnn loved to spend time with family, attending the grandkids games, playing checkers and other board games. She spent 39 years as a teacher's aide in Omro, WI, where the students affectionately knew her as the "Elvis Lady." She will be remembered for her kindness, smile, patience and kind soul.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Timothy (Donna) Beck and Jennie Beck; grandchildren, Rachel Beck and Holly Beck; brother, Robert (Doris) Genal III; sister, Patricia Smith; and sister-in-law, Diane Genal. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other family.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ronald Beck; parents, Carl and Gertrude; and brother, Carl "Butch" Geral Jr.
A visitation will be held at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave. Omro, WI, on Thursday, July 25 from 4pm to 8pm. A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, July 26 at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home as well, at 10AM followed by a burial at Rushford Cemetery.
