JoAnn D. Schneider, age 70, of Oshkosh, died Monday morning, December 11, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on November 9, 1936 in Oshkosh to Albert and Lavina (Benedict) Schneider. JoAnn was employed by the Oshkosh Telephone Company for many years, first as an operator, and then in the accounting department prior to her retirement. She enjoyed making her flower gardens blossom.


Survivors include four brothers, Albert "Bert" (Fran) Schneider of Oshkosh, Oura (Charlotte) Schneider of Tigerton, Wisconsin, Wayne (Barb) Schneider of Washington State, and Warren (Patricia) Schneider of Oshkosh; one sister, RoseMary Sheldon of Oshkosh; 15 nieces and nephews; and 13 great nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Lake View Memorial Park Chapel. A time of visitation and support will be held on Friday from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the cemetery chapel.
