Jodee L. Thompson, age 48 of Oshkosh, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006. She was born in Oshkosh on July 2, 1958 to Kenneth and Janet (Heinbigner) Metko. She attended school in Oshkosh and graduated from Oshkosh West High School. She then went to work for Hoffmaster and was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Jodee will be missed and forever remembered as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend who found much joy in giving. She was the most generous spirit that many of us will never know again.

Jodee is survived by her daughters: Brooke and Kate Thompson; mother: Janet Metko; sister: Roxanne (Daryle) Hazen; brother: Kurt (Linda Hartman) Metko; nephew: Nathan Hazen; niece: Nichole Metko; former husband: Paul A. Thompson; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jodee's infant son, Jacob, and her father, Kenneth Metko, preceded her in death as well as other relatives.

A memorial service will be held for Jodee at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 6, 2006, at Zion Lutheran Church. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of gathering and support on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.

Flowers are most gratefully declined; a memorial is being established in Jodee's memory.
