John R. "Jack" Burmeister Jr. age 50 of Oakfield went to be, with his mother, in heaven, on January 30, 2009 after a courageous battle with liver complications. He was born to John and Barbara Burmeister on July 20, 1958. He was married to his wife Reba for 16 years.
John was a wonderful son, great dad, loving uncle, and the best brother a sister could ask for. He was loved by all of his friends and family.
A U.S. Army Veteran; NASCAR lover; NHRA fan; lover of football, music, and playing his acoustic guitar; but most of all he loved being in a boat with his dad fishing, and just spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving John as his children: Timothy of Eau Claire, Della of Oakfield, Adam of Oaklawn, Illinois, and Ashlee of Eau Claire; his very beautiful granddaughter, Hailey; father, John Burmeister of Ripon; sister, Gloria (Timothy) Casperson; two very special nieces, Katie (Andre) Larson of Oshkosh and Amanda Casperson of Ripon; his very best friend, Kodiak; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara; sister, Ruth; grandparents: Harry and Lucille Burmeister, Walter and Margaret Oden, and Virgil and Mary Gravelle; and a very special friend, his dog, Rockefeller.
A funeral service for John will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 6, 2009, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N. Eagle Street.
