John M. Kiley, age 75 , of Omro, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday afternoon, October 24, 2012. He was born June 13, 1937, in Appleton, the son of George and Dorothy (Van Gorp) Kiley. John married Cherie Doro on June 20, 1987, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro. John was an insurance agent in the Omro area for many years. He was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed singing, golfing and playing cribbage with family and friends. John will also be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor and quiet strength.


John is loved and will be missed by his wife and Love of his life, Cherie; children, Chuck (Cathy) Kiley of Menasha, Kelly (Sid) Klein of Florida, Kathy (Don) Wickersheim of Menasha, Bob (Debra) Kiley of Appleton, Bill (Heidi) Kiley of Omro; James Markert and Jason Markert, both of Alaska; grandchildren, Calvin, Cody, Connor, Rachell, Taylor, Zoie, Will, Stephanie, Alex, Nick, Alyssa, Nathan, Alexandria, Trinity, Ausha, Auralea, Rachel, Valoree; great grandchildren, Aiden, Sky, Jude, Noah, Aubrey, Jamison, Griffin, Alyse, Mitch and Vivian; brothers and sisters, Tom (Jude) Kiley, Ellen (Bill) Lappen, Pat (Mary) Kiley, Mike (Patty) Kiley and Terry (Terri) Kiley. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Kiley and brother in law, Ronald Doro.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., Omro, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. and then again on Monday, October 29, 2012, at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Joseph Mattern and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will follow in North Rushford Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Reiser and Dr. Qureshi for the care given to John.

John always said that when he passes away, to just tell my family and friends "that I love them."
