Double "O" Joe
Joseph Michael Friedauer, age 60, of Neenah, died August 13, 2008. He was born February 3, 1948, the son of John and Dorothy (Mayefski) Friedauer. He attended Omro Schools and then married his wife, Linda Oppermann on March 15, 1969. He had worked at Neenah Foundry for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards with his friends and family. He was also a proud member of the Upper Lakes Fishing Club.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda; his son, William "Chopper" Friedauer; daughter, Becky (Ron) Hayes; grandchildren, Brandon, Dylann and Hannah; brother, Michael (Pam) Friedauer; sister in law, Patricia Friedauer; brothers in law, Lynn "Butch" Oppermann, Darrell "Dutch" (Darlene) Oppermann, Jeffery Oppermann and Sidney "Nook" (Lisa) Oppermann II; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Friedauer; brother, Thomas Friedauer and mother and father in law, Louise and Sidney Oppermann.
In respect to Joe's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. A memorial is being established.
The family would like to thank the Winnebago County Sheriffs Department, the Diving Team and the K-9 unit for all of their hard work and support.
