Joseph S. Hodel, age 56, of Oshkosh, passed away at his home on March 22, 2011. Joe was born May 18, 1954 in Berlin to Willard and Ardell (Wilson) Hodel. He grew up in Omro, and graduated from Omro High School, where he was an award winning wrestler. He enjoyed playing chess, fishing, deer hunting, bird watching, and loved wildlife and nature.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Dianah (Dan) DiSandro of Washington, Linda (Michael) Spivey of Omro, Anna Reischl of Menasha and Tammie Fischer of Omro; his brothers, Frank of Omro, Daniel of Racine and Mark (Alice) of Omro; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Bartholomew officiating. A memorial is being established.
