Joseph R. Spencer, Jr., "Joe", age 39, of Omro, died Monday evening, August 14, 2006 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh following a courageous battle with Cancer. Joe was born April 6, 1967 in Springfield, Il., the son of Joseph and Reta Spencer. Joe enjoyed spending his time with his son, Jacob, together they fished, camped and four wheeled and played video games. He also enjoyed fixing things and stock car racing. Spending time with family and friends was very important to him.

Joe is survived, loved, and will be missed by his son, Jacob of Omro; brother, Eric (Rebecca) Spencer of Washington, Il.; sister, Sonia Spencer of Kenosha, WI.; the mother of his son and good friend, Margie Spencer (Mike Eckstein) of Omro; mother in law, Pat Neau of Omro; brothers and sisters in law, Gary (Jeanette) Neau of Omro, Bill (Betty) Neau of Omro, Bob (Julie) Neau of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews, William, Mitchell and Zachary Spencer, Damian Spencer, Zana Zamora, Angelic Millian, Lindsey Neau, Sara Elliott; cousins, Nathan (Katrina) Elliott of Oshkosh; Jim (Annie) Landreth of Waupun; special friend, Jill Debehnke of Oshkosh; parents, Reta Grant of Washington, Il., and Joseph Spencer, Sr. of Temple, Texas; other special relatives and many friends.

In respect to Joe's memory and to honor his life a visitation will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Thursday, August 17, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. until the time of his memorial service at 7:00 P.M. A trust fund for his son's future is being established.
