Joyce E. Heller, age 83 of Oshkosh, died at Bethel Home Thursday morning, November 18, 2010. She was born in Sharon, Wisconsin on April 22, 1927 to Harry and Minnie (Erkfritz) Hoelzel. On September 26, 1947 she married Albert L. Heller. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1987.
A hardworking and caring woman, Joyce enjoyed playing cards, doing needlepoint on plastic canvas, and crocheting. She and Albert owned and operated the Lake View Motel on Highway 45 south of Oshkosh. She also worked at Miles Kimball for many years. She also worked as a Caregiver. She enjoyed camping and her time spent living at Lake Havasu.
Surviving Joyce are her daughter, Sandi of Oshkosh; her daughter, Tiera (Mike) Marhefke of Appleton and their children: Matthew, Nathan, and Anna; her son, Daniel (Lorna) Heller of Fond du Lac and their daughter, Katie (fiancé Tony); siblings: Darlene Johnson, Ethelyn (Don) Weaver, Vonnie Rae (Wayne) Wares, and Elwin Hoelzel; and sister-in-law, Loraine Hoelzel. In addition to her husband, Albert, Joyce was preceded in death by her siblings: Vanda (Norma) Jones, Marvin Hoelzel, Harold (Mary) Hoelzel; and sister-in-law, Rosie Hoelzel.
A memorial service for Joyce will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 22, 2010, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time for sharing support and memories will be held at the funeral chapel on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.
