Joyce May Hoeft, age 88, of Oshkosh, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Bella Vista with her family and friends at her side. She was born March 9, 1927 in Oshkosh, a twin daughter of Walter and Ann (Jungwirth) Herdina. She married Burton Hoeft, and together they raised five children. Her family and friends meant the world to her. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, cards, reading, Brewer games, and visiting with friends.
Joyce is loved and will be missed by her children, Pamela (Victor) Siehr of Manitowoc, Paula (Stephen) Geier of Oshkosh, Gary (Deborah) Hoeft of Oshkosh, Ann (Dennis) Trabbold of Omro, and Todd (Angela) Hoeft of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Nathan Siehr, Brittany Siehr Nunziato, Shanna Siehr, Victor Siehr III, Courtney Dowling Maron, Nicholas Dowling, Tyler and Trevor Hoeft, Austin Lawson, and Jack and Alec Hoeft; great-grandchildren, Dennis, Mason, Chloe, Ryan, Jacob, and Taylor; her brother, Gregory (Carol) Herdina; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton; twin sister, June Dugenske and brother, Walter Herdina.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon St. from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Site, 519 Knapp St. with Rev. William Van de Kreeke officiating.
Joyce's family would like to thank Ryan of Affinity Hospice and the staff at Bella Vista, especially Jamie, Kaila, Nesha, and Alyssa for the love and special care given to Joyce.
