Joyce L. Schreiber, age 78, of Oshkosh, died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Hospital from complications following surgery. She was born in Oshkosh on April 27, 1929 to Dorothy Skinner Pechman and Harold Krause. She attended Oshkosh schools, graduating in 1947. Joyce married in 1951 and had one daughter, Susan. She lived in Racine, Wisconsin, where she worked at Walker Manufacturing for over 30 years, before retiring in 1991, and moving back to Oshkosh.
During her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at a variety of places including Salvation Army and Oshkosh Senior Center. Joyce recently worked part-time at 4-Imprint.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Reverend Susan (Don) Christian of LaMoure, North Dakota; a grandson, Christopher (Anna) Badalik of Milwaukee; a granddaughter, Katharine James of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois; a great-grandson, Ian Henry James of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois; a brother, Bob (Arleen) Pechman of Oshkosh; nieces and a nephew; many friends and other relatives; and her cat, Sophie. Preceding Joyce in death are her mother and step-father, Dorothy and Art Timm Sr.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., with Reverend Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Inurnment will take place in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Joyce's memory.
