Joyce M. Strey, of Omro, died at Webster Manor on Thursday, September 5, 2013. She was born April 12, 1926, to Edwin and Ruth (Sailer) Marheine. She was a graduate of Oshkosh High School and Mount Mary College. She received her degree in Occupational Therapy in 1948. In 1949, she married Stuart C. Strey who preceded her in death in 1996.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Joyce is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and John Bancroft of McDonough, GA, Susan and Mark Kessler of Bryn Mawr, PA, Elizabeth and Thomas Olson of Oconto, WI, Anne and John McCool of Warren, IL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and Kathryn Strey of Omro, WI, Edwin and Rebecca Strey of Omro, WI; ten grandchildren and one brother, James Marheine of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Donna.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff's at Webster Manor and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate and loving care. They ask that any memorial considerations be sent to: Heartland Hospice, 63 W. Pioneer Road, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
