Judith A. Langeberg, age 63, of Winneconne, died peacefully Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Oshkosh, WI., on November 21, 1942, the daughter of Sylvester and Esther (Weitz) Augsburger. Judy married Eugene Langeberg on November 10, 1961. She had worked in residential care at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Oshkosh.
Family and friends will fondly recall her love of music and how she enjoyed collecting angels, hearts, owls, elephants, diamonds and jewelry. Other passions included shopping, crocheting, baking, and giving miscellaneous gifts. Her favorite color was purple and her favorite football team was the Minnesota Vikings. Above all else, she loved her granddaughter, Erin.
Judy is survived and will be remembered by her husband, Eugene; her two children, Julie (Terry Baldry) Langeberg of the Town of Omro, and Howard (Mary) Langeberg of Pickett; grandchildren, Erin Langeberg (Chad Schoonover), Jarrod Blackburn, Dillon Blackburn and Becky (Dave) Beckmann; sisters, Phyllis Michels of Saxeville, Susan Sphatt of Oshkosh, and Beth (Russ Monacelli) Quick of rural Neshkoro; brothers, David (Jean) Augsburger of Gilman and Martin (Joanne) Augsburger of Winneconne; brother in law, Norman Ottman of Berlin; son in law, Buck Bladorn; father in law, Lawrence (Tootie) Langeberg; her babies, Rascal and Angel; special friends, Ron, Dave, Jodi, Marci, Marcy, Mike, her little friends, Mya and Bailey and her kids at Sherman I & II; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister in law, Lester and Donna Augsburger; sister, Doreen Ottman; nephew, Daniel; brothers in law, James Sphatt and Carl Quick, and mother in law, Eunice Langeberg.
To celebrate the life of Judy, a visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the funeral home in Omro from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Gregory Decker officiating. Private burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Judy's memory.
