Judith Hall Loper passed away peacefully in her sleep (like she always wanted) on October 11, 2025, at Edenbrook of Oshkosh, after a brief battle with infections and dementia.
Judy was born on October 9, 1945, in Chicago, IL, to Woodward and Virginia (Ricketts) Hall, their only child. Her family moved to Oshkosh in the 1950s, where her father ran a well-known men's clothing store called Woody's.
Judy graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1963 and married Michael Loper on February 25, 1967, in Omro.
Upon their marriage, Judy and Mike lived in Göppingen, Germany for several years where Mike served at Cooke Barracks, a U.S. Army Base and they enjoyed weekend trips to parts of Europe.
Judy and Mike were blessed with two sons, Adam and Justin, and Judy worked as a media aide in the Oshkosh Area School District for many years, retiring in the 2010s.
Judy enjoyed stamping and scrapbooking, home decorating, movies, and had a lifelong love of animals. Her dog, Stella, is now living with Adam's in-laws, John and Kris Selk, and enjoying many walks.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mike. She is survived by her two sons, Adam (Emily) and Justin (Shelley).
Per her wishes, no service will be held but there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 1, at Oblio's, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please join us if you can.
The family would like to thank the staff at Edenbrook and Compassus Hospice for their diligent care.
