Judith E. "Judy" Quinn, age 69, of Oshkosh, died Monday evening, March 23, 2009 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. Born on January 7, 1940 in Milwaukee to George and Helen (Paulbecki) Jacobi, Judy lost both parents to death at an early age. She was raised in a Catholic orphanage in Milwaukee. She met and married Leonard Quinn and they ran Quinn's Inn of Redgranite from 1975-1978.
Employed at Wal-Mart for several years, Judy was a member of Most Blessed Parish (St. Mary site). Sewing, crafts, reading, and baking were favorite things Judy did for relaxation.
Left to mourn Judy's passing are her children, Timothy (Nancy) Quinn of Hancock, Wisconsin, Michael (Vicki) Quinn of Oshkosh, Brian (Christine) Quinn of Oshkosh, Margaretmary (Dale) Nigbor of Ripon, Colleen (Karl) Schmitz of Burnett, Wisconsin, and Kathleen (Nathaniel) Hughes of Oshkosh; nine grandchildren, Rebecka, Emily, Lindsey, Zachary, Jessica, Conner, Joshua, Kayla, and Quinn; her long-time friend, Leonard Quinn of Ripon; her brother and sisters, Joan Burrell of Phoenix, Arizona, Geri Knoblauch of Cascade, Wisconsin, Robert Jacobi of Milwaukee, and Christine Jacobi of Milwaukee. Preceding Judy in death are her parents, a sister, Corrine Singer, and two grandsons, Daniel and Ian Quinn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Mary site, 619 Merritt Avenue, with Reverend James Jugenheimer officiating. Interment will be at Brooks Cemetery. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
