Judith A. Schug, age 60, of Omro, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center. Judy was born January 16, 1949, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the daughter of Dale and Joyce (Frickenstein) Schilling. She graduated from Omro High School. On September 2, 1967, she married Eugene Schug at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Omro. Judy worked at Steinert Printing as a binder for a number of years. Judy enjoyed puzzles, casinos, crocheting, hot air balloons and fishing. She excelled at cooking! Her family, especially her grandchildren, was her biggest delight; she always had $2 for them every time she saw each of them, calling it "grandma's sees you dollars".

Judy will be greatly missed by her husband, Eugene, Sr.; her son, Eugene (Kimberly) Schug, Jr. of Omro; her daughter, Jennifer (Dan Wirl) Schug of Oshkosh; her grandchildren, Aerieal, Eddie and Mitchell; her sisters, Marlene (Larry) Halverson of Medford, Mary (Mark) Berndt of Omro, Sally (Randy) Freeman of Omro; her brothers, Darrell (Teresa) Schilling of Omro, David (Fran) Schilling of Omro; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., Omro, with visitation at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass. Judy will be laid to rest in the Waukau Cemetery. A memorial is being established in her name. Heartfelt thanks to the Omro Volunteer Fire Dept., the first Responders, and ICU Staff at Mercy Hospital, for the care given to Judy and her family.
