Judith "Judy" A. Steenweg, age 85, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 1, 2025, in Omro, WI. She was born on January 31, 1940, to parents, Albert J. and Rosalie (Peronto) Lembach, in Milwaukee, WI.
She graduated from Rufus King High School, raised three children and spent 23 years with her husband, Richard "Dick" Steenweg before his passing.
Judy enjoyed walking on the beaches in Florida, dancing and hosting parties for family and friends. She played the spoons, loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adeline Group and the Red Hat Society. She will be remembered for being loving, having a big heart and being a social butterfly.
She is survived by her children, Laura (Steve R.) Nelsen, Marc Gamboeck and Elizabeth (Ryan S.) Rilling; grandchildren, Anthony (Taylor) Gamboeck, Ember (Peter G.) Rilling, Marina (Matt B.) Gamboeck and Paige (Alex O.) Rilling; great-grandchildren, Alyse, Hazel, Wyatt, Barrett and Ronnie; step-great-grandchild, Bristol; sister, Carol (Tim) Werni; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and good friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Richard "Dick" Steenweg; parents, Albert J. and Rosalie (Peronto) Lembach; siblings, Pat Lembach, Al Lembach and Wendell Lembach.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro, WI, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, with service to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her honor.
Judy expressed her wishes that everybody remember the happy times and dress in a more festive manner.
She will be dearly missed by all who she had touched.
