June M. Owens, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. She was born in Racine, WI on June 4, 1922 the daughter of the late George and Anna (Pico) Horner. She married Marvin Kozel in 1946. He preceded her in death. In 1981 she married Ivor Owens, who preceded her in death. June was a nurse's assistant at Mercy Medical Center for many years. She will be remembered for the great care she had for people.
June is survived by her children: Tom "Fuzzy" Kozel of Oshkosh, Richard (Maria) Kozel of Albuquerque, NM, Sandy (Jim) Gillespie of Fond du Lac, Mark Kozel of California and Mathew Kozel of Brandenton, FL; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at PLYMOUTH CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, 1325 Georgia St., Oshkosh, with Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Omro Cemetery, Omro.
