June E. Wesner, age 83, of Waukau, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday evening, June 22, 2008. She was born June 24, 1924 in Neenah, Wisconsin, the daughter of Marshall and Lydia (Baum) Grant. June married Vernon O. Wesner on April 27, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1983. June enjoyed playing cards and traveling in her later years. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
June is survived and will be missed by her sons, Brad Wesner, of Berlin, Kalvan Wesner, of Omro, Jim Wesner, of Waukau, Walter Wesner, of Oshkosh and Willy (Pamela) Wesner, of Winneconne; daughters, Gail (Duane) Ewald, of Berlin, and Cindy Wesner (Randy Surma), of Oshkosh; daughter in law, Gloria Wesner; her grandchildren, Jodi, Keith, Ashley, Jessica, Nicole, Lisa, Curtis, April, Tina and Tristian, step grandchildren, Jim and Chris; and six great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, John "Bud" Grant; her sisters, Marjorie "Mag" Hart, Joanne "Nig" (Don) Hammon and Monona "Teet" Lewellyn; sisters in law, Betty Grant and Kate Grant; other relatives, many friends and her dog, Mitsy. June is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon "Butch" Wesner; son, Rex Wesner; granddaughter, Racheal; great granddaughter, Sommer; her brothers, Kenneth Grant, Lowell "Tuffy" Grant; sister, Lois "Bid" Lee, brothers in law, Clifford Hart, Wally Lee and Lynn Lewellyn; sisters in law, Violet Bossombrook, Peggy Grant; and special friend, Wilbur "Pa" Ewald.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service 7:30 p.m. June will be laid to rest in the Waukau Cemetery on Thursday, June 26, 2008, please meet at the Omro Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. for a procession to the cemetery.
