Obituary

Karen Rose (Fischer) Czoschke, age 57, of Oshkosh, died Sunday morning, February 1, 2009, with her loving family present, at Northpointe Medical & Rehabilitation Center, after a lengthy and courageous battle with MS. She was born on March 29, 1951 in Oshkosh to Clarence and Lorraine (Szep) Fischer. On June 16, 1972, Karen married Gordon Czoschke at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Oshkosh.
Mike's Airport Grill employed Karen, where her smiling face was one of first seen by returning servicemen to Oshkosh. Later, Karen was employed as a hostess at the Winemaker and Mr. Cinder's. Karen loved people and was generous to a fault. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, and her dog, Muppy. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Gordy Czoschke of Oshkosh; a daughter, Crystal (Adam) Ellison of Oshkosh; her parents, Clarence and Lorraine Fischer of Oshkosh; brothers and sisters, Cheryl Fischer of Oshkosh, Sue (Jim) Delfosse of Oshkosh, Ellen (Nelson Jr.) Fowler of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Joe Fischer of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Maggie Crossman of Winnebago, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Muppy. Preceding Karen in death are her paternal and maternal grandparents, a brother, Gerry Fischer, a brother-in-law, Russell Crossman, and a special nephew, Brian Delfosse.
Private family services will be held with Reverend William Van DeKreeke officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Oshkosh United Veterans Honor Guard, PO Box 66, Winnebago, Wisconsin, 54985, in Karen's memory.
A special thank you to a special angel, Gracie Price, the staff at Northpointe Medical & Rehabilitation Center, and Affinity Visiting Nurses for the care and comfort given to Karen and her family. Please visit www.seefeldfuneral.com to send online condolences to the family.
