Karen L. Parson, age 58, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. She was born in Milan, IN on November 28, 1955, the daughter of the late Donald and Carolyn (Good) Parson. Karen graduated from Hanover College in Hanover, IN, and earned her Master's Degree at U.W. Oshkosh. She was a librarian for Fox Valley Technical College for many years. Karen enjoyed reading, movies, traveling worldwide, and genealogy. She will be remembered for caring deeply for her family, friends and being a wonderful sister.
Karen is survived by her brother, John Parson of Oshkosh; aunts: Virginia Holtzhausen, and Janet (Ed) Cassady; numerous cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Seefeld Funeral Home, with Rev. Barry Yarbro officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
