Obituary

The Lord has called home the soul of Karl Henry Deibert, age 82, of Oshkosh who died January 11, 2004 at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac, surrounded by family.
He was born December 16, 1921 in Green Lake, Wis., the son of Henry and Ida (Luedke) Deibert.
Karl was educated at Peace Lutheran School, Green Lake, Wis., and Green Lake High School. During his lifetime, he worked as a farmer and laborer, and in his retirement, volunteered his services at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Elva, Edna, and Helen; brother Harvey; infant son, Charles; and second wife, Joyce. Survivors include daughter Karla (Lee) Masek of Green Lake; sons David (Martha) Deibert of Menomonee Falls, Mark (Cherie) Deibert of Fond du Lac; Tom Deibert of Fond du Lac; and Joyce s children Doug (Barb) Knutzen of North Fond du Lac; and Carol Knutzen of Oshkosh. He is further survived by six grandchildren; Stacy (Tom) Bernd of Cross Plains; Bethany (Mark) Andersen of Oshkosh; Sara, Rachel, and Jennifer Deibert of Fond du Lac; Amy Deibert of Menomonee Falls; eight great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.
Family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 14th, from 1 - 3 p.m. at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh. A memorial service, conducted by Pastor Jeffrey Berg, will follow at 3 p.m. A private committal service will be held for family.
