Katherine S. Gregory, age 95 of Oshkosh died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Bethel Home. She was born in Madison on November 4, 1913 to George and Eleanor (Edwards) Johnson. In 1920 she moved with her family to Omro and attended Omro Public Schools and graduated from Omro High School in 1931. Katherine married Milon Gregory on November 6, 1937 in Milwaukee and they had two sons, Edward and Michael.

Katherine worked for Milwaukee Public Schools as a food service manager for many years and retired in 1977. After her husbands death on February 25, 1990, she returned to Winnebago county with her son Michael. Katherine was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for many years.

Katherine is survived by her son Michael Gregory of Oshkosh; brother, Gordon Johnson of Neenah; sister-in-law, Jaynie Johnson of Arizona; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Gregory and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Edward, brothers Milton (Elsie) Johnson and Howard Johnson; sister, Elizabeth Drebus and sister-in-law Mary Johnson.

Funeral service for Katherine will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N Eagle Street, with Reverend Paul Lidtke officiating. A time of visiting and sharing memories will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.
