Kathy M. Mittelsteadt, 68, passed away on June 17, 2023, in Oshkosh, WI with her family by her side. She was born in Oshkosh, WI, on July 9, 1954, to Arden and Lila (Hansen) Nelson.

Kathy married Thomas Mittelsteadt on August 5, 2000, and they shared 22 years of marriage together.
Kathy loved spending time with her family, playing board games, Bunco, bowling, and watching the Game Show Network. She enjoyed going to concerts, going out to dinner, and she enjoyed advising Tom of things that needed to be done. She loved her many pets throughout the years. Kathy was a kind soul who was always willing to help, and she always supported her family. She had a heart of gold and a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Mittelsteadt; children, Stacy (Nicholas Griese) Clark, Michelle (Heath Peters) Toney, Kristine (David) Veith, Matthew (Kimberly) Mittlesteadt, Heather (Ian) Keberlein, Melissa (Kyle) Giesenschlag; grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Emma, Isabella, Brooke, Kylee, Lydia, Miguel, Valorie, Cambria, Phoenix; brother, Edward (Jeanne) Nelson; as well as nieces and nephews, Heather, Amber (James), and Erik; she is further survived by many in-laws, other family and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Arden and Lila; daughter, Melinda Mittelsteadt; and grandson Braxton.

A celebration of life will be held at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon Street, Oshkosh on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Visitation will be held from 10am until 1pm and service will begin at 1pm. Kathy will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park following services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
