Kenneth A. Hejdak, age 90, of Oshkosh, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, May 14, 2016. He was born on April 8, 1926, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Adam and Emma (Holz) Hejdak. On May 6, 1950, he married Mary L. Suckow. Ken proudly served his country in World War II with the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific. He was employed by Wisconsin Public Service for 40 years as a supervisor in Oshkosh, Green Bay, and Wabeno. After retirement he returned to Oshkosh. Ken loved to duck hunt, and was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
Ken is survived by his wife of 66 years; his sister-in-law, Gloria Miller; nieces and nephews: Gail (Jeffrey) Miller, Lisa (Rick) Stiebs, Bill Miller, Stephanie (Frank Nickel) Johnson, and Kimberly (Bob) Lewis; a God Child, Wendy Wenzel-Werner; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister Patricia; a brother Lawrence; and a sister-in-law, Janet Johnson.
In accordance with Ken's wishes he will be cremated, and a private family service will be held. Inurnment will at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Ken's name.
