Obituary

Kenneth G. Lloyd, age 92, of Oshkosh, died Friday evening, June 19, 2015, at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin. Born on May 21, 1923, in the Omro/Oshkosh area, the son of Charles and Esther (Allen) Lloyd, Ken married Florence Jensen in 1945 and she preceded him in death.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII, Ken saw action in the European Theatre where he was wounded. Upon his discharge Ken was employed as a carpenter and later became a General Contractor, owning his own business, Ken Lloyd and Associates. He specialized in commercial buildings (restaurants, toy stores, schools) along with residential housing. Later, Ken managed a number of warehouse units before retiring for the second time in 2009. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, baseball, and was a die-hard Packer fan.
Survivors include his seven children, James, John, Diane, and Barbara Lloyd, all of Oshkosh, Scott Lloyd of Hawaii, Michael and Louie Lloyd, both of Akron, Ohio; eight grandchildren, David, Jamie, Shephie, Danielle, Alex, Cris, Kenny, and Malia; three great-grandchildren, Sydnie Anna, Hunter, and Kori Ann; a sister, Thelma Le Beck of Weatherford, Texas; and former spouse, Pat Phillips. Preceding Ken in death are his siblings, Eugene, William, Connie, Robert, Charles, and Louis.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park with full Military Honors. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.seefeldfuneral.com.
