??Kenneth E. Meisinger Sr., age 87, of Oshkosh died on the evening of Monday, March 19, 2007 at his residence with his family at his side. He was born on March 9, 1920 in Oshkosh to the late Louis and Christine (Sitter) Meisinger. Kenneth served our country in the Army during World War II. He served from March 30, 1942 until December 8, 1945. He received numerous decorations and medals for his brave actions for our country. Kenneth married his first wife Helen Casper, and she preceded him in death. He later married Diana Jungwirth on May 20, 1967. Kenneth worked for the railroad and was later employed by Cook and Brown Company from which he retired in 1982.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Diana; one son, Kenneth (Robin) Meisinger Jr. of Milwaukee; one daughter, Christine (Arthur) Thomas of Oshkosh; and one step-son, Herb Burdick of Oshkosh. Four grandchildren also survive Kenneth: Brandon Thomas, Adesina Kohl, Kenneth Meisinger III, and Annette Meisinger. He is further survived by a sister Jane (Harold) Bouschele of Oshkosh; three brothers-in-law: Arthur Stromske of Oshkosh, Dale (Delores) Jungwirth of Rosendale, and John (Jane) Jungwirth of Oshkosh; and five sisters-in-law: Audrey Meisinger, Charlotte Meisinger, Betty (Jerry) Kerwin, Ruth (Ron) Hoppe, all of Oshkosh, and Shirley (Ray) Beck of Arkdale, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by one son, Scott Meisinger; one grandson, Ryan Thomas; one sister: Marion Stromske; and four brothers: Louis "Booby" Jr., Robert, Russell, and Gilbert Meisinger.
Funeral services for Kenneth will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Deacon Ray Brandenstein will be officiating. Friends and neighbors may call on the funeral chapel from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park with full military honors.
