Obituary

Kenneth C. Reichenberger, age 71, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday morning, September 16, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. Born on January 21, 1938 in Oshkosh to Albert and Mae Reichenberger, Ken married Penny Feyen on May 13, 2006 in Oshkosh.


A gifted woodworker, Ken was employed by Badger Lumber for 23 years as a furniture maker. Later, he was employed by Bemis Corporation until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of St. Jude Parish and had served his country in the U.S. Army. Time spent woodworking, gardening, and fellowship with Duane, "Putz", and his dog, Patches, had special meaning to Ken.


Cherishing his memory is his wife, Penny Reichenberger of Oshkosh; a son, Brian Reichenberger of Oshkosh; a daughter, Cheryl Reichenberger of Oshkosh; three step-children, Christy (Jay) Yearwood of Oshkosh, Jim (Sara) Knepple of Oshkosh, and Amy (fiance Jim Carney) Knepple of Menasha; three step-grandchildren, Jarod, Nona, and Erick; a brother, Gilbert Reichenberger of Oshkosh; a brother-in-law, Clarence Matsche of Appleton; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Ken in death are his parents, a son, Brad Reichenberger; a brother, Norm Reichenberger; and a sister, Delores Matsche.


Memorial funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, with Reverend William Van DeKreeke officiating. Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
