In Loving Memory
Kurt Kronberg was born on June 18, 1940, in Appleton, Wisconsin, and passed away on March 14, 2026, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, after a long illness. He was the middle of three sons born to Alice and Herman Kronberg. As a young man, Kurt helped in his family’s meat market, where he learned the value of hard work, and was active in the Boy Scouts.
After a brief time in college, Kurt built a career as a meat cutter, working more than 20 years at grocery stores throughout the Fox Cities. Later, he founded his own carpentry and home improvement business, which he operated successfully for nearly 30 years before retiring.
Kurt was the father of two children, Karl and Kris. He experienced the loss of his son Karl in 1988. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, and gardening over many years. He was also active in his church, singing in the choir and participating in the men’s group. His life reflected kindness, faith, and dedication.
Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, his son, a granddaughter, and his wife, Sherry. He is survived by his daughter, Kris Kronberg (friend John Remmel); stepson, Dave Carlson (wife Kathy); brothers, Ned and Paul Kronberg; granddaughters; great-grandchildren; and nieces.
The family extends special thanks to Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, incredibly supportive neighbors, and the Waukau United Methodist Church for their care and compassion.
A memorial service for Kurt will be held on Tuesday, March 31 at the WE Community Church in Waukau, WI. A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM with a short service and a luncheon to follow.
