Laura Jean Koon, age 94, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was born in Chicago on July 8, 1928, the daughter of the late Allan and Laura (Green) Holman. On December 16, 1945 she married Kenneth E. Koon in Chicago. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1983. Laura had many careers, retiring from being an apartment manager in her 80's. She was active at First Presbyterian church, even serving as a deacon. Her family will remember her for taking wonderful care of them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Laura loved to go camping, and was known to read many books in a short amount of time. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family.

Laura is survived by her children: Debbie Schilder, Sandy (Greg) King, and Ken (Lu) Koon; sister-in-law, Sally Holman; grandchildren: Greg (Patti) Kent, Brian Kent, Patrick Kent, Traci (Pat) Peters, Michael (Linda) Koon, Sean (Gretchen) Schilder, Megan Gray, Laura Murphy, Josh Koon, Leah (Tyler) Olson, Jacob Koon and Jonah Koon; 22 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Tom Fauk; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; her parents; daughter, Patty Fauk; granddaughter, Amanda Gray; siblings: Gerry (Ed) Peterson, Barbara (Stanley) Zach, and Karl Holman.

A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church, 955 N. Webster Ave., Omro, with Rev. Travis Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
