Lawrence "Larry" M. Karl, age 62, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014. He was born in Berlin, WI on July 22, 1951 the son of the late Robert and Louise (Winkoski) Karl, Sr. On May 5, 1973 he married Patricia Miller in Oshkosh. Larry was proud of his yard and enjoyed bird watching. He was particularly fond of NASCAR and the Packers. Larry will be remembered for being devoted to his family.
Larry is survived by his wife, Pat of Oshkosh; children: Tony (partner, Chris Couris) Karl of Manitowoc and Lori Karl of Oshkosh; siblings: Sandy (Jason) Vlavitis, Robert Karl, Jr., Jeff Karl, Heidi (partner, Kurt) Mickey, sisters-in-law: Lee (Bill) Nolte, Janet Miller, Nancy (Ralph) Collier and Kathryn Karl, close family friend, Glenn Davidowich; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Dana Karl and Dennis Karl; and sister, Debbie Bunge.
The memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Seefeld Funeral Home, with Rev. Diane Murray officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Wilson and his staff at Aurora Medical Center, and to Dr. Avery and his staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their wonderful care.
A memorial fund in Larry's name is being established.
