Lawrence G. Olson, age 85, of Omro, passed away on December 9th, 2021. He was born April 5, 1936 in Waupaca, WI the son of Clarence and Nora (Johnson) Olson. He married Darlene J. Blackburn on September 10, 1960 in Poy Sippi, WI. Lawrence had worked and retired after 30 years as a welder for Leach Co. While raising their own children Lawrence and Darlene opened their home to many foster children throughout the years. In his spare time, Lawrence enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, upholstering and doing odd jobs/projects for his children. Most will remember him for riding his scooter with Teddy around town as well as his witty sense of humor. Lawrence was also a member of St. Mary's Parish in Omro.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene; daughter, Diane Jones (Lee) of Omro; sons: Larry Olson (Judy) of NC and James Olson (Kelly) of Winneconne; six grandchildren: Shannon Warlop (Tylor), Kenneth Jones (Kayla Harlock), Crystal Chitel (Micheal Matsche), Benjamin Olson (Nicole VanAsten), Thomas Olson (Morghan O'Connell) and Ciera Tucker; four great-grandchildren: Ella Warlop, Payton Warlop, Wrenley Olson, and Remi Matsche. He is further survived by a brother-in-law, Harvey Arndt. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Clarence Jr., Richard, Harold and Donald; and sister, Donna Arndt.

Family will greet friends and relatives at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until military honors at 11:30 a.m., followed by a private family service.
