Lawrence John Robert Pasquini, age 60, of Oshkosh, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 23, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ. Larry was the son of Lillian Pasquini and the late Lawrence J. Pasquini. He married Dian Thompson of Rockford, IL on June 19, 1971 at St. Augustine Church in Coral Gables, FL.

He is survived by his wife Dian, the love of his life, daughter Angela (fiance William Clifford) of North Bergen, NJ, son Daniel of La Angostura, Costa Rica, mother Lillian, Sister Lydia (fiance Robert Esposito), brother Richard (Jana), and countless family and friends.

After graduating from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL (BS Social Studies and Secondary Education, MS College Student Personnel Administration) he held various positions at the following colleges: Residence Hall Director at Ball State University, Assistant Director of Housing and Associate Dean of Students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Dean of Student Services and Registrar at Moraine Park Technical College.

Larry was extremely active within the Oshkosh community. He was Oshkosh Youth Baseball (OYB) President 1999-2007 and was affiliated with the OYB executive board for the last 15 years. He coached league baseball for many years before starting to coach 11-12 year old traveling tournament teams in 1997. He was deeply committed to the planning of the future Oshkosh baseball complex.

He served on the American Legion Baseball Association Board of Directors and was also a member and Treasurer of the Snitz Club. He was chairman of the City of Oshkosh Parks Advisory Board. For two years, he served as President of the Oshkosh Morning Rotary Club. He was the founder of the Rotary sponsored "Conquer the Concrete" 3 on 3 basketball and whiffle ball tournament. He broadcast on radio and TV for local football and basketball games as the color commentator.

Larry shared his passion for life in everything he did. His sharp wit and sense of humor will never be forgotten. Larry's passion extended to music and cooking. He loved listening to opera and oldies, and was a gourmet Italian chef for his family and friends. He touched many families' lives through his dedication to OYB. He was an inspiration to all.

Special thanks to all family, friends, and neighbors. In particular the family expresses it's gratitude to Peg Smith, Julie Pollnow and Linda and Kevin Harvot for their amazing love, friendship, and support throughout this time. The outpouring of love from the Oshkosh community is a testament to the impact that Larry had on so many lives.

Visitation will be held at St. Rafael Catholic Church on Thursday, August 2, 8:30am-11:30am followed by a Mass of Christian burial. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Oshkosh Youth Baseball. Memorials may be sent to Seefeld Funeral and Cremation Services, 1025 Oregon Street, Oshkosh, WI 54902.
