Obituary

Lee J. Keller, age 77, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, after battling multiple sclerosis since 1994. He was born on July 19, 1947, in Hortonville, WI to the late Lucile (Kluge) and Joseph Keller. On May 4th, 1968, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart and love of his life Barbara Willenkamp with whom he spent roughly 60 beloved years together.

Lee is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Russ (Bev) Keller; granddaughters, Jamie (Kevin) Cottrell and Lindsey Keller; brother-in-law, Dennis (Debbie) Willenkamp, sister-in-law, Bonnie Ulman, nephews, Kyle (Tara) and Brendan (Jill) Willenkamp, Denise Barnack and Darcie (Bruce) Tangney, and their children. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Lucile and Joseph Keller, his twin sister, Lola Keller; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marvin and Margaret Willenkamp.

Lee graduated from Hortonville High school in 1965 and was a 3-sport varsity letter winner. He served 4 years in the Air Force, with the last year spent in Vietnam. After his time in Vietnam, he went on to further his education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He proudly worked at Omni Glass & Paint and retired after 39 years.

Lee was passionate about many sports, one in which was a world record that he held for 20+ years.  He enjoyed bowling, in which he scored a perfect 300 and won the Oshkosh City Tournament. Lee also enjoyed biking, fishing and listening to music.

Lee was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family and grand-dog, Tilly (whom he affectionately called the "Big Brown Dog") and his great grand-dog Rollie. He was known as the neighborhood grandpa who always kept a stash of dog treats in his pocket for dogs walking by.

Per his wishes, the family will honor him privately. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
