LeHigh "Lee" Dunn, age 90, of Oshkosh, died peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Evergreen Retirement Community. He was born to Frank and Jeanette "Jenny" (Velair) Dunn in Brandon, Wisconsin on August 16, 1915. Lee served our country in the army during World War II. On June 5, 1960 he married Ruth Brockway in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on July 6, 1993. Lee then met Mary Vaughan and they were married on August 21, 1999 in Oshkosh. Lee worked for Wisconsin Axle from 1935 to 1977 totaling 42 years of service. Lee was an active VFW member during his life and he also enjoyed hunting. In his younger years he loved to roller-skate and ride his bicycle. He also enjoyed dancing.
Lee is survived by his wife Mary; one son: Donald (Vonnie) Dunn of Fond du Lac, three daughters: Mary (Ronald) Moder of Neenah, Linda (Carl) Lemkuil and Joyce (Robert) Prill both of Oshkosh; one daughter-in-law: Barbara Dunn of Oshkosh, and one step-son: Jim (Liona) Brockway of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, one son: Laurence Dunn, one step-daughter: Bonnie Stoy and two sisters: Blanche and Slyvia.
Funeral services will be held at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street in Oshkosh at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2006; Reverend Merlin Hoeft officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
The family has established a memorial in Lee's name for the Evergreen Retirement Community.
