Obituary

Leonard E. Tice, age 76, of Oshkosh, died Friday evening, April 23, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on June 13, 1927 in Oshkosh to Lester and Mariam (Hicks) Tice. ? Leonard was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in the Oshkosh office as a clerk for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Leonard enjoyed oil-base painting, working at puzzles, and especially the preparation and cooking of meals for his family. ? Survivors include two daughters: Rebecca Tice and Mary Shew, both of Oshkosh; three sons: Douglas Paul (Pam) Tice, John Lester Tice, and James Earl Tice, all of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren: Douglas Joseph, David, Mackenzie, Melissa, Sarah, Gena, and Tina; one great-grandson: Trevor. Leonard is further survived by two brothers: Raymond (Kathy) Tice of Oshkosh; Richard (Ann) Tice of Clintonville; four sisters: Edith (Richard) Duffy of Oshkosh; Helen Tice and Caroline Tice, both of Sheboygan; Virginia (Les) Wait of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nieces and nephews. ? Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Les Wait officiating. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday in Lake View Memorial Park with military honors by United Veterans Honor Guard. A memorial in Leonard's memory is being established by his family.
