Lester E. Nelson, age 83, of Redgranite, formerly of Omro and Milwaukee, died Friday morning, March 2, 2012, at Berlin Memorial Hospital. Les was born March 18, 1928, in Burlington, WI, the son of Helmer and Hannah (Grossman) Nelson. Les enjoyed country music, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and watching Survivor on TV. He also liked computer games and playing video slot machines. Les had owned and operated a restaurant in Milwaukee, managed a Mobile Home Park in California and had also managed the Mobile Home Park in Omro for many years.

Les is loved and will be missed by his children, Karlene (Jan) Howell of Lancaster, CA, Lester James Nelson of Texas, RoseAnn (Rick) Fought of Milwaukee, Randy (Marlene) Nelson of Redgranite; grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean; daughter, Judy Laubusch and grandson, B.J.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 5, 2012, at the funeral home in Omro from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Omro Cemetery.
