The angels rejoice as Lila
Mae Roland enters her eternal home. The
world was blessed to have Lila for 81 years.
She was born on May 31, 1928 and was called home on April 17, 2010. She is the daughter of John and Barbara
(Hunt) Dubinski.
Lila married Edwin Roland on May 27,
1949. They were blessed with four
wonderful children: Linda Dearth, Susan (Kurt) Lueneburg, Carol (Kevin)
Kleinert, and Edwin (Lora) Roland Jr. As
the family grew they were blessed with eleven grandchildren, whom she
cherished: Rebecca Jensen, Andrew Dearth, Angela (Andrew) Parrish, Ellen (John)
Raasch, Abbey, Hilary, William, and Isabela Kleinert, Julia, Adam and Alyssa
Roland. She is also blessed with three great-grandchildren:
Hailey and Alexander Jensen and Annabelle Parrish.
A loving wife and mother, Lila loved to travel
and throughout the 27 years of Ed's retirement they have seen the world. Her favorite location was New Zealand. She loved to cook, play cards, and entertain.
They enjoyed hosting Susan (Bigmore) DeKok, an exchange student from South
Africa. She was a member of the choir at
Grace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, and Calvary Lutheran in Thiensville. Most recently she was a member of St. Mark
Lutheran in Leesburg, Florida, where she and Ed reside. They would summer in Valders, Wisconsin.
In addition to her husband and children, Lila
is survived by sister, Eleanor Frank; brother, Edward (Charlene) Dubinski;
sisters-in-law: Joan Dubinski, and Margaret Dubinski; and many loving nieces,
nephews, and friends. She was preceded
in death by her parents; siblings: Dorothy (John) Mauer, Leonard Dubinski,
Lorraine (Tom) Tompson, Norbert (Betty) Dubinski, John Dubinski, and Harold (Dorothy) Dubinski.
Funeral services will be held in Oshkosh,
Wisconsin at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Grace Evangelical
Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street. A
time of visiting and sharing support will be held at the church from 11:30 A.M.
until the time of the service. Interment
will be in Riverside Cemetery. Please
