Lila L. Spalding, age 83, of Oshkosh, died Sunday morning, October 1, 2006 at Bethel Home. She was born on October 4, 1922 in Oshkosh to John and Marie (Hartman) Stang. Lila married Clifford Spalding on October 4, 1944 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2000. Lila was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.


Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Phyllis) Spalding and Steven (Kay Eslinger) Spalding, both of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Michael (Toni) Spalding of Porterfield, Wisconsin, Daniel Spalding of River Falls, Wisconsin, Gail Spalding of Oshkosh, and Nicholas (Sarah Mindham) Spalding of Appleton; two great-grandchildren, Kira and Kaden; three brothers, Richard (Maureen) Stang and Myron (Ruth) Stang, both of Washington State, and Lavern (Betty) Stang of Oshkosh. Preceding Lila in death are her husband and parents.


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, with Reverend Eric Quinney-Burnard officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Lila's family wishes to thank the staff of Bethel Home and Aurora Hospice for the care and concern given to their mother and grandmother.
