Lillian E. Hackbarth, age 100, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Bethel Home. Lillian was born January 24, 1908 in Fond du Lac, WI., the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Nee Krenn) Woeshnik. She married Gustave Belkye in 1927 and later married Gunther Hackbarth in 1948. Lillian was a long-time employee of Dumphy Boat and retired from Mercy Medical Center in 1973.
She is survived by daughters, Janice (James) Geen and Nancy (the late Nyle) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and two nephews. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Gustave Belkye and Gunther Hackbarth; son, Clarence Belkye; three sisters; brothers and sisters in law, Bernice and Larry Koepke, Lola and Ambrose Benedict, Violet and Robert Crisp; son in law, Nyle Johnson; nephew, Tom Crisp; and grandson in law, Glen Flanigan.
Lillian was a loving mother and devoted grandmother with a zest for life and a passion for cooking and shopping. She enjoyed being with family and friends and will be missed by all.
A private memorial service will be held.
