Limond D. "Joe" Aronson, age 74 of Oshkosh, was called to heaven, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, September 14, 2007. He was born on August 30, 1933 to the late Albert and Bernetta (Roberts) Aronson. On February 11, 1956 he married Berniece Ann Peterson.
Joe was jovial, pleasant; a loving and caring husband and father. He always had a smile for you. He attended the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and became a telegrapher for the Milwaukee Railroad. Throughout his life he had many business ventures such as being a Watkins distributor and owning a grocery store. He became an insurance salesman for the Lutheran Brotherhood finally becoming an independent agent. Joe was an outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his three sons fishing, boating, camping, and hunting.
Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Berniece; sons: Mark (Joan) of Greenville, Mike (Val) of Oshkosh, and Moris (Vicki) of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Jill, Jenna, Andy, Stephanie, Jake, and TJ; step-grandchildren: Erica and Jessie Reineck; brother, Neal (Jean) Aronson of Park Rapids, Minnesota; and four nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by sister, LeNore Ann Schmidtke; daughter-in-law, Dianne Aronson; and sister-in-law, Joan Aronson.
A memorial service will be held for Joe at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, Pastor Martin Ruge officiating. A time of gathering and sharing of memories will be held at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Christopher Keller, Dr. Karen Gremminger, and all the nursing staff who cared for him during his battle.
