Lois E. Schneider passed
away with family at her side, after a short illness, on Thursday, March 25,
2010. Lois was born in Mayfield Heights,
Ohio on January 9, 1925 to Carl and Mable (Meanor) Baxter. On November 18, 1944 she married Clifford G.
Schneider. They enjoyed 57 years
together until his death on December 30, 2001.


Traveling to visit friends
and relatives and gambling were Lois' favorite things. She also enjoyed reading, and was always
willing to help. Her calendar was always
full; you would seldom find her just sitting at home. For many years she worked as a switchboard
operator at Winnebago County Mental Health Institute.


Surviving Lois are her children: Linda
(Robert "Butch") Penzenstadler of Oshkosh, Jack (Alicia) Schneider of Oshkosh,
John (Irene) Schneider of Green Bay, June (Rick) Gorchels of Weyauwega, and
Jill Decker of Oshkosh; daughter-in-law, Anna Marie "Cookie" Schneider;
grandchildren: Tammy, Rebecca, Ann, and Jamie Penzenstadler, Katie and Peter
Schneider, Carl, Nicole, and Noelle Schneider, and Christopher and Andrew
Gorchels; great-grandchildren: Morgan Juedes, Cody Sivesind, Evelyn, Alex, and
Michael Taylor; and sister-in-law, Wilma Baxter of Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to her husband, Clifford, Lois
was preceded in death by her son, Robert Schneider and her brother, Robert
Baxter.


Funeral services for Lois will be held
at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 29, 2010, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels,
300 N. Eagle Street. A time of visiting
and sharing memories will be held at the funeral chapel on Monday, from 4:00
P.M. until the time of the service.
