Lorraine C. Bloechl, age 92, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, January 4, 2011, at Evergreen Retirement Community. Born on August 27, 1918, in Oshkosh to Charles and Laura (Ziebell) Koehn, Lorraine married Frank Bloechl and they were married for fifty years before Frank's death on April 13, 1991.
A long time member of Peace Lutheran Church, Lorraine enjoyed baking, cooking, and time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by three children, Jean Bloechl, Roger (Debra) Bloechl, and Barbara Sitzberger, all of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Richard (Lori) Sitzberger, Lori (Jason) Geffers, Linda Sitzberger, and Tom (Erica) Bloechl; six great-grandchildren, Jayna, Kailey, and Matthew Sitzberger, Morgan, Jordan, and Dylan Bloechl; a sister, Margaret Schneider; a brother, Carl Koehn; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Lorraine in death is her husband, parents, a sister, Mildred Weitz; and a brother, Melvin Koehn.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in Peace Lutheran Church, 240 West 9th Avenue, with Reverend Ralph Hanusa officiating. Interment will follow the service at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
