Louis Haedt, age 93 of Tecumseh, MO, formerly of Omro, WI died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the home of his daughter in Tecumseh, MO. He was born on July 25, 1915 at Omro, WI the son of Edward and Clara (Hupke) Haedt. He married Floraine Rogers on May 31, 1939 in Borth, WI. Floraine preceded him in death in 2002. Louis and Floraine worked for social services for many years in foster care. Louis worked as a farmer most of his life, retired from the Oshkosh Foundry. The Haedt's sold their farm in1998 and moved to Tecumseh, MO.
Louis is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Darald and Ruth Ann Haedt of Stillwater, OK, Gary and Georgia Haedt of Waco, TX, one daughter and son in law, Charlotte and Lynn Taylor of Tecumseh, MO, one foster daughter, Mary Brooks Fraser of Springfield, VA. Five grandchildren, Shawn (Christina) Taylor, Loren (Paula) Taylor, Lisa Davila, Bradley Haedt, Stacy Haedt, Steven Fraser and David Fraser; nine great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, and one sister in law, Irene Haedt, and many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Earl, Elmer, and Orville Haedt, and 2 sisters, Laura Haedt and Hazel Phillips.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 11 A.M. at the Omro Funeral Home, with Rev Edward Slusser officiating. Burial will follow in the North Rushford Cemetery, Omro, WI. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9 A.M. until the time of the service.
