Louise Jensen, age 105, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2004, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She formally lived at 700 Mason Street here in Oshkosh. Born, Louise Poeschl, on May 29, 1899, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, she was one of five children of Louise Kinderman and Bernard Poeschl. She married George Jensen in 1926, and celebrated 53 years together before George's death in 1979. Louise was a member of St. John Catholic Church; Catholic Women's Society; Catholic Daughters; and a Past President of St. John's Ladies Society and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Betty) Jensen of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and her grandchildren, Tom (Cindy) Jensen of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; Jeff (Peggy) Jensen of Sheboygan; and Barb (Tim) Schultz of Sheboygan. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, George, she is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Gloria Jensen, two brothers, Bernard "Ben" and Matt Poeschl and two sisters, Theresa Kuenzl and Ann Arnold.
Services for Louise will be held at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street in Oshkosh at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2004, and Reverend William Van DeKreeke officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral chapel on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flower tributes, the family requests that memorials be made to Bethel Home.
