Lowell W. Germer, age 83, of Oshkosh, died peacefully Monday afternoon, March 26, 2012 at the Omro Care Center. Lowell was born October 15, 1928 in Oshkosh, the son of Walter W. and Erna (Pommerening) Germer. Lowell was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He had worked at and retired from Leach Co. after working there 21 years. While his granddaughter, Michelle Hanford was at his house cleaning, fixing dinner and keeping him company, Lowell would cherish this time with his great granddaughter, Makayla, whom he thought of her as his moral booster.
Lowell is survived by his step-children, Roger (Dorinda) Konkel of Fremont, Roni Grosskopf of Omro, Larry Konkel of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brother in law and sister in law, William and Lori Miller of Beverly Hills, Florida; other relatives and friends.
Lowell will be placed to rest next to his wife, Myrene, at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Oshkosh on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Nancy Krueger officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the graveside service.
